The Rangers farm system has another guy ready for his Triple- debut. Mitch Bratt is aiming to follow in Alejandro Osuna's footsteps and go from Frisco to Round Rock to Arlington in 2025.

The left-hander was featured as the Rangers' prospect pushing for promotions, according to MLB. They picked him over Kohl Drake and Sebastian Walcott among others.

Despite being only 21 years old at Double-A that has a 23 year old average age range, Bratt is showcasing that his stuff is undeniable. He even won the organization's Minor League Pitcher of the Month for May.

Bratt has made 11 starts that has showcased his 50 grade fastball, slider, and changeup with elite command leading to a 2.18 ERA. The strikeout to walk ratio is a jaw-dropping 66 to 9 as well with only 5 home runs given up.

Seeing him develop from a young pitcher in the 2023 Baseball World Classic to what he is today is night and day. He has turned into a confident, high-level prospect pushing to make the next top 100 prospects list.

There is no doubt the Rangers have something in Bratt, whose profile is pretty similar to Cody Bradford. The Rangers pitching development has left a lot to be desired but success with the similar archetype of pitcher can give fans optimism.

Prospect re-gradings will likely put Bratt in the top five in the organization, where as the rest of the system has misstepped this year, Bratt has taken a leap.

The only question on his path to Triple-A is if it will be in Texas. It's not clear whether the Rangers will be sellers or buyers this summer and Bratt can likely be dealt to get some talent. However, the recent run of injuries in the system leaves that unlikely.

A promotion for Bratt should happen sooner rather than later as Chris Young has been aggressive with his call ups this year. It wouldn't surprise if he was in Round Rock next month.
