After a 16-3 drubbing of the Minnesota Twins, Texas Rangers fans are really beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel offensively. The team took two out of three in the Twin Cities and scored 34 runs in the process.
The Rangers hit six home runs in Thursday's matchup, and one of them was a prodigious bomb by the hero of the 2023 World Series, Evan Carter, who is in the process of regaining his form at the plate.
Evan Carter looks healthy, and he's hitting well again
The 23 year old from Tennessee has been dealing with a series of injuries, including a lingering back issue that looked to have taken the pop out of his bat.
But if the last few weeks are any indication, "Full-Count Carter" has put the injury bug behind him and started barreling the ball like he did as the kid that came out of nowhere to help guide the team to its first ever Championship two years ago.
The Rangers have won three of their last four, and Carter has been a big reason why. Over the last four games, he is 10-16 with five extra-base hits, including three homers. He has also driven in six runs while his batting average has shot up from .167 to .293.
Carter's slugging percentage has gone from a meager .238 to a Ruthian .564. His OPS has risen accordingly from just .477 to .903 and he's doing all this while playing a plus center field and providing excellent speed on the base paths.

Seeing Carter rise from the ashes like a Phoenix is the next best thing to witnessing a Rangers' offense that has been mired in the doldrums all season finally take flight.
With Carter and the team returning to Globe Life Field on Friday to face the woeful pitching staff of the last-place Chicago White Sox, the time is now for this group to completely turn the corner and hit like we expected them to before the season started.
