The Rangers organization was able to break free from the streaming hell that was Bally Sports before the 2025 season and agreed to a deal with the much more viewer-friendly Rangers Sports Network (RSN).

RSN will still carry most of the Rangers' games in 2026 but there are a handful of games that will expose the ball club to a national audience on NBC and its streaming service on Peacock.

Texas is set to be featured in three games on NBC/Peacock as the network debuts its first Sunday Night Baseball broadcast.

NBC and Peacock will air 30 Sunday games, two exclusive Opening Day and Labor Day games and the 2026 Wild Card rounds, following Major League Baseball's split with ESPN who aired Sunday night games for nearly 35 years.

The Athletic's Andrew Marchand shared the season's slate and the Rangers are scheduled to play three separate times on May 3, May 24 and June 14.

On May 3, the Rangers will be on the road to take on the Detroit Tigers. Three weeks later, they will be the visitors again in a matchup with division rival LA Angels. In mid-June, the Rangers will be featured at classic Fenway Park in Boston for a Sunday night meeting with the Red Sox.

Texas will also again take on Detroit as part of MLB's "Star Spangled Sunday" on July, airing exclusively on Peacock at 4 p.m. ET. It's part of an all day 15-game slate where each team will air on the network's channels.

Unfortunately, the Rangers won't get to host any games at Globe Life Field with the entire country looking on in the network's first season carrying Major League Baseball.

NBC still finalizing play-by-play and analyst roles for inagural baseball season

As NBC begins to take their step into the baseball world, they are still searching for their broadcast team with Jason Benetti and Kevin Brown as favorites to helm the coverage.

Interestingly, NBC is said to also be pursuing a deal with newly retired Dodger great Clayton Kershaw to provide some analysis for certain selected games.

Other analysts mentioned are veterans from ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball coverage, including Eduardo Perez, David Cone and Jessica Mendoza.
