While the Texas Rangers are hoping to extend their season into October, one of the club's top prospects just wrapped up a successful season at Double-A Frisco with arguably his best game of the season. Cameron Cauley, in fact, put a charge into the campaign's finale with a 4-hit, 2-home run game.

Cauley is currently the Rangers' No. 13 prospect, though some are wondering just where his future position might be, considering he plays the middle infield most often. He could eventually transition to the outfield should it come time to call him up while Corey Seager and Marcus Semien are still with the team.

Cauley wanted to show the Texas Rangers that he will be worthy of a call-up sooner rather than later in Frisco's final game, going 4-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBIs on Sunday.

He only missed out on the cycle because he hit two home runs to go with his double and triple. Cauley doubled in the first and then homered in the second inning. He then tripled in the fourth. He came to the plate in the sixth needing a single to hit for the cycle, but he flied out to left field.

With the game tied 4-4 with no outs in the bottom of the ninth, Cauley came to the plate again with Marcus Smith standing on second base. An RBI single would not only give Frisco the win, but also give Cauley a cycle. Instead, he hit a walk-off two-run homer to left field.

On the season, the Texas Rangers prospect showed off both power and speed, slashing .253/.325/.773 while hitting 15 home runs and stealing 28 bases.
