4 players who could be on the trade block for the Rangers at the trade deadline

What value do these Rangers have on the open market?

The Rangers are coming off their most productive offensive series of the season, scoring 19 runs against the St. Louis Cardinals in the process of taking two out of three games over the weekend.

They currently sit a couple of games under .500 and three games behind the Seattle Mariners in the bunched American League West. This weekend's explosion at the plate further muddied the waters concerning whether the Rangers will end up being buyers or sellers as we hit the 60-game mark of the season.

Here are four movable Rangers who would likely draw the most in return if the team were to become sellers or as part of a deal that could bring more talent to Arlington if they end up buying ahead of the trade deadline.

4 Rangers could be on the move before the 2025 trade deadline

Adolis Garcia - RF

Garcia was a healthy scratch for all three games against the Cardinals and the Rangers ended up scoring 19 runs while he sat on the bench. Garcia has struggled mightily this season, but particularly recently, striking out 18 times in his last 34 at-bats.

League-wide, El Bombi is still thought of as a big, power right-handed bat and Gold Glover that teams would be interested in acquiring to make a run this season. However, it feels like the longer the Rangers hold onto the struggling right fielder, the lower his value becomes.

Jacob deGrom - SP

Ranger fans have really enjoyed watching Jacob deGrom return to being the dominant, Cy Young-caliber pitcher they had dreamed of getting when he signed in 2023. But the fact of the matter is, he is the most attractive bargaining chip the team has right now.

DeGrom is making $40 million this year, and despite his impressive stats through 12 starts, you still have to consider the big right-hander's injury history as he has now thrown more innings this season than in the last two combined. Will he hold up, and are the Rangers willing to find out?

Jake Burger - 1B

After a short demotion to Triple-A Round Rock in early May, the bruising first baseman has been much more effective at the plate. It could be a good time to sell high on Burger, who is a middle-of-the-lineup power bat with a track record of hitting 25+ homers a season.

Burger is making less than $1 million this season and is arbitration-eligible next season. You have to think that if Chris Young thought so much of him that he was willing to part with Nathaniel Lowe, other teams around the league would be willing to take a chance on his upside.

Kumar Rocker - SP

This one would be purely based on the big "P" word - Potential. Rocker is close to returning to the Rangers rotation after a month-long stint on the IL, and while the Rangers love his live arm and control, he would be a big chip that the organization could leverage as we get closer to the deadline.

You hate to part with prized, homegrown players like Rocker (see Cole Ragans), but the Rangers aren't in a position to hold onto Rocker as a player who is trying to establish himself as a legitimate starter in the league. The upside of Rocker would definitely have a line of suitors willing to talk about a deal.
