The Texas Rangers kicked off their 2025 road schedule Monday evening against the Cincinnati Reds.

While we all love the comfort of home and Globe Life Field is a top-notch facility, visiting other ballparks is one of the best side quests of any baseball fan. Luckily for Rangers’ fans, there are plenty of opportunities in the next six months to visit some iconic stadiums and still see some Rangers' baseball.

Here are five must attend series away from Globe Field Field for the Texas Rangers in 2025

April 7-9, @ Cubs, Wrigley Field

There’s only a handful of stadiums as iconic as Wrigley Field on the north side of Chicago. One of the oldest stadiums in Major League Baseball, Wrigley Field first opened in 1914 and has been the home ballpark for the Cubs since 1916. From the ivy covered walls, the Chicago hot dogs, bleacher seating and Wrigleyville neighborhood. Wrigley Field is a historical landmark recognized not only by the City of Chicago but by the United States National Register of Historical Places.

April 22-24, @ Athletics, Sutter Health Park

For completely different reasons than Wrigley, this is a must stop. Why? Because of the weirdness associated with it. The Athletics have officially abandoned Oakland and now reside in a minor league ballpark in Sacramento. The stay is expected to be temporary with the team moving to Las Vegas soon. Sutter Health Park is the home to the Giants’ Triple-A team but now will host the A’s for a few years. It’s not necessarily a must see but when will you ever get a chance to watch a MLB game in a minor league stadium?

June 6-8 @ Nationals, Nationals Park

Since the Nationals don’t make a trip to Texas in 2025, fans will have to go to D.C. if they wish to watch our old friend Nathaniel Lowe. The infielder holds a spot in the heart’s of Rangers’ fans thanks to his contributions to the 2023 World Series title. The ballpark is actually a very solid park but the main drive for Texas fans is to see Lowe play against the Rangers for the first time since his trade.

June 20-22 @ Pirates, PNC Park

PNC Park in Pittsburgh is one of the most scenic ballparks in all of Major League Baseball. The home of the Pirates, located on the North Shore of Pittsburgh with a view of downtown and the Allegheny River is consistenly ranked among the best stadiums year-after-year. Don't just show up for the views, the food is just as breathtaking. It has everything from a 98 ounce bat of popcorn and a Polish cannonball to BBQ and pierogis. You might also get to see fireballer Paul Skenes take the hill for the Pirates.

Sept. 12-14 @ Mets, Citi Field

Citi Field, nestled in the New York City borough of Queens, is the house that David Wright built (unofficially). With a capacity crowd of over 42,000 and featuring orange foul poles and the staple Home Run Apple in centerfield. Fans should mark this on their calendar and plan a trip the NYC for this series for a couple of reasons: 1) The team the Mets have built is one of the best with Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto, and 2) It has the possibility of being deGrom's first start to Citi Field as a visitor, since he left the franchise that drafted him after the 2022 season.
