When the Texas Rangers announced their new TV network, Rangers Sports Network, the team also announced the faces of the network which includes three former players.
David Murphy, who played in Texas from 2007-2013, has been a member of the broadcast team since 2017 and began as an in-game analyst for the team in 2019 alongside play-by-play announcer Dave Raymond and 2007 Rangers' pitcher Mike Bacsik, who become a regular color commentator last year.
New to the team this year is recent retiree and future Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Famer Elvis Andrus. He joins the network as an pre and post-game analyst and television play-by-play broadcaster.
As the broadcast booth in Arlington seems to continue to fill up with players who once wore "Texas" across their chest. Thought it might be a fun time to name a few others that would be a great fit to join them on Rangers Sports Network.
Adrian Beltre
This is an easy one for so many reasons. His baseball knowledge is off the charts and his legend status within the organization is about as high as it could ever be.
The former infielder retired in 2018 and now represents the Texas Rangers at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, alongside Nolan Ryan and Ivan Rodriguez. He has made appearances as a guest for a few innings during Rangers games since he retired but never in a game-calling mode.
He's been retired for a few years now and he occasionally makes appearances at special events, even managing the American League team in the 2024 Futures Game in Arlington. The only question that remains is whether Beltre wants to be a part of the broadcast booth?

Colby Lewis
The former pitcher has actually tried his hand at broadcasting for the Rangers back in 2018, appearing as an analyst for the team's game on Facebook in May of that season.
His broadcasting career didn't last long then but he is still an active part of the Rangers organization since 2017 serving as a special assistant to the general manager.
Lewis would make a great broadcaster. He is a true baseball guy. He's a pitcher who knows what the experience is like to struggle and is able to articulate in a simple manner what it is like to be a baseball player. Plus his voice is comforting and smooth, which is perfect for baseball.
Hunter Pence
During his playing days, Pence was up there at the top of the list when talking about the best personalities in Major League Baseball.
His swing was unconventional, his his throwing motion made it seem like he was the first person to ever throw a baseball and to top it all off he was an amazing personality that was a favorite among teammates and fans.
Although he only played one season with the Rangers back in 2019, he made it memorable, appearing in an All-Star Game hitting .297 with 18 home runs in only 83 games.
He currently works as an analyst for the San Francisco Giants, a team he won two World Series rings with, but maybe the Giants would consider loaning him to Texas for a handful of games. What do you say Buster Posey?
