It is rare to see a no hitter but anytime you see one, there will always be premier pitching being flashed. After a longitme drought of almost 15 years in the Texas Rangers' Double-A affiliate it has been done.

Kohl Drake, the Rangers' No. 12 prospect, got the start and flashed pure dominance on the mound for the Frsico Rough Riders. He was followed by Skylar Hales, who is the Rangers 24th ranked prospect, and Ryan Lobus.

Rangers' prospect Kohl Drake dominates in team no-no

Drake was pure dominance on the mound. He was good for 6 innings, 6 strikeouts, 2 walks and obviously 0 hits. He was fairly limited on his pitches and was taken out after just 79 pitches.

Lobus followed Drake and went 1.1 innings with 3 walks and a rare earned run in a no hit effort. Hales finished it out contributing 1.2 innings with 2 strikeouts and one walk.

This is a positive output as the Rangers minor league system has been scrutinized for years about their minor league pitching development. As the year is progressing, this has been a major trend for the minor league affiliates.

Despite a large amount of minor league injuries, pitchers like Drake, Mitch Bratt, Brock Porter, Cole Winn, and more have been blossoming so far this year. This is one game but can be a representation of what is to come.

Kohl Drake has just flashed his dominating stuff and is on the brink of a possible call up. Electric stuff that he displayed today might be soon coming to Arlington.

Combining the up and coming Alejandro Osuna and Sebastian Walcott with electric pitching at the AA level is making this team must see television. The current Texas Rangers team has looked bleak recently, so why not tune in to watch our potential future.
