After a long baseball-less winter and fun time in the sun of Arizona and Florida, we have finally arrived to the big day, Opening Day. Teams around Major League Baseball open up the 2025 regular season today, although the Dodgers and Cubs will be playing game three of the year.
Last year, the Texas Rangers were tasked with doing something that hasn't happened since the early-2000s, win back-to-back World Series titles and boy did they fail pretty badly at it. They finished the season 78-84 despite kicking the year off with a extra-inning walk off victory against the Cubs.
This season they take on the new look Boston Red Sox with new aces in Garrett Crochet and Walker Buehler with a familiar face in Alex Bregman manning the hot corner for Boston. Texas kicks off their season at home with first pitch scheduled for 3:05 p.m. CT.
